What to Expect

The more we know about your situation, the more effectively we can help

Before you see the doctor, we’ll need you to fill out some brief paperwork. These forms help us better understand your past issues as well as your current condition. We will have these ready for you on your first visit, or you can follow the links to view & print the forms at home to save time.

Consultation & Examination

Though we employ many advanced methods for diagnosis, we believe our most effective tool is listening, and that slowing down and considering our patients’ words is an important part of the process – and also creates a personable and comfortable environment in our clinic.

We believe listening to our patients is an integral part of the process.

First, you’ll meet with Dr. Sheldon to discuss your health history as well as your current condition and tentative treatment options. Then, to determine the cause of your discomfort, the doctor will perform several specialized tests to identify which tissues are affected and to what extent.

Your situation may require X-ray imaging – performed in our clinic, and usually covered by insurance – to rule out more serious conditions and assist us in creating the most effective treatment plan.

Treatment

We use a wide range of therapies, custom tailored to your own specific situation and needs, to help relieve your pain and maintain a healthy body.

Your unique plan will combine in-office treatment and instructions for home therapies.

Usually, your treatment will begin during your first visit, and may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies.

Before you leave, we’ll provide you with detailed instructions for certain therapies that you can do at home to maximize the efficacy of your treatment plan. These procedures will be simple, and typically include ice or heat application, avoidance of certain activities or positions, and home exercises and/or stretches.

Any problem by a sport, work accident etc.

we welcome the chance to serve you.
